Here at Camp Aldersgate, we embrace all abilities by ensuring that adventures are accessible for all! That’s why in honor of our 75th birthday, we are raising funds to expand & enhance our “Adventure Challenge Hub!”
Nature is a powerful teacher, and Camp Aldersgate’s natural spaces provide this ideal setting. It can teach us invaluable lessons such as patience through waiting for a flower bud to bloom and boosting happiness and feelings of well-being. These experiences are critical to our services as a part of the continuum of care for individuals with special needs .
The expansion of our “Adventure Challenge Hub” is another demonstration of our commitment to helping our campers reach their greatest potential. This center for all things daring, thrilling and adventurous excites every camper as they come back year after year. With your help, together we will expand accessibility with the addition of low challenge elements, an enhanced archery pavilion and increasing accessibility to our ziplines.

Spina bifida camper, Gage, has attended camp every summer for the last 8 years! He says his favorite part of Camp is getting to do the exciting outdoor activities, like ziplining, that he wouldn’t be able to participate in traditional settings.
“I’ve never really felt limits because Camp has always been a part of my life. There were things I didn’t know I was strong enough to do like zipline or the other outdoor activities, but Camp has taught me not to look at things as obstacles but challenges that can be overcome.
