Camp Aldersgate’s Weekend Camps provide developmentally appropriate opportunities for our campers that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth in a fun, engaging camp setting. Activity planning for each weekend includes a mix of physical activities, art, outdoor activities and structured and free-play. Weekend Camps are open for each camper to attend a maximum of six times in a school year. Sessions run from Friday at 6:00pm until Sunday at 10:15am.

September 15-17: Fall Kota Weekend Camp: Cowboys and Aliens – Yeehaw meets extraterrestrial adventure during our Cowboys and Aliens themed Fall Kota Camp! During our wild-west alien experience campers will have the opportunity to practice lassoing, race tabletop horses, learn space themed dances, along with participate in our classic summer camp activities like making s’mores, riding the carousel, fishing, and swimming in the pool.
October 20-22:Not-So-Scary Halloween – Our Not-So-Scary Halloween themed weekend camp offers a delightfully spooky and safe environment where your camper can enjoy a weekend filled with Halloween-themed activities without any frightening surprises! Don’t forget to pack a fun costume!
November 3-5, Fayetteville: Adult Weekend Retreat – Escape to our Mt. Sequoyah adult weekend getaway, where you can enjoy familiar Camp Aldersgate activities in a refreshing and tranquil setting, creating lasting memories with fellow campers.
December 8-10:Culinary Creations – Our Culinary Creations themed weekend camp promises a memorable culinary adventure, where participants will explore the world of cooking through interactive, hands-on experiences and collaborative kitchen activities.
Camper registration is open to all campers with limited spots for campers requiring 1:1 care. Camper fee (or tuition) is based on a sliding scale and applies to all campers.
Kota Camps are inclusive camping experiences for campers with and without medical conditions and/or disabilities. These camps are available for children ages 6–26, and we encourage campers to attend with a friend or a sibling.
Weekend Camps serve campers with special needs who fall within the age range of 6–26 and who meet one of the following criteria:
Eligible for one of the summer camps (with exception of increased medical needs: respiratory technology, nurse dependent dialysis, diabetes, and mild-to-moderate Asthma diagnosis).
Receives special education and “related services” in the school setting to increase academic achievement and functional performance.
Requires use of assistive devices and adaptations to complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
