A Grateful Send-Off

By Brooke Wilson, Director of Communications

Join us in sending best wishes to Camp Aldersgate Director of Programs Ali Miller! After 15 years of providing love and support for children and their families at Aldersgate, Ali will be leaving camp to pursue a different career.

Ali’s time at Camp has been nothing short of impactful, as she started as a Counselor and quickly rose to Senior Counselor, Aquatic Supervisor, Program Coordinator, Program Manager, and earned her way to Director of Programs. Ali’s legacy will be felt for many years to come. During her time at Camp, Ali initiated several important programs including Camp Conquer, a suicide prevention program, and Camp Hope, designed to support children who have survived domestic abuse.

Over the past two years during a worldwide pandemic, Camp has been able to keep its doors open, while maintaining a safe environment for campers, volunteers, and staff. This is largely due to Ali’s leadership, innovation, and collaboration with local health officials. Providing in-person and virtual camp during this time would not have been possible without Ali’s dedication and countless hours of hard work and planning. We know that everyone, especially our campers, are very grateful that Camp is made possible all-year round!

Ali’s passion and heart for children truly shines in everything she has accomplished at Camp Aldersgate. We will miss Ali greatly but are so thankful for all her contributions she has made over the past 15 years! Thank you, Ali for your selfless service, leadership, and positive impact on our extraordinary campers!
