About Our Programs

Camp Aldersgate is often referred to as a “home away from home.” This outdoor oasis in the heart of Little Rock provides an ideal setting for our programs that aim to strengthen personal and social development, promote healthy lifestyles, enrich communities, and foster environmental awareness.

The Camp Aldersgate, Inc. experience is one that provides the joys of outdoor recreation and socialization in an accessible environment in which campers of all abilities can participate and, most importantly, succeed.

Every aspect of Camp Aldersgate is accessible to each participant. Our programs and activities are designed for our participants to learn there are no limitations. They can accomplish great feats such as catching a catfish in the lake, soaring through the sky on the zip-line, or exploring the bottom of the pool during SCUBA diving.

What We Offer

Camp Aldersgate provides year-round programming for individuals ages 6-35 with special needs and medical diagnoses. Our core services include summer and weekend camps. Several weeks of summer camp focus on specific medical diagnoses, while our Kota and Weekend Camps are available to a variety of campers with special needs.

Campus & Accommodations

Our beautiful campus is right in the heart of Little Rock. Surrounded by over 100 acres of natural trees and landscape, our grounds provide the perfect setting for camp. During their stay, campers sleep in one of our seven air-conditioned cabins. From the entrance to the bathrooms and light switches, these cabins were built to be as accessible as possible.

Accessible Activities

At Camp Aldersgate we believe in POSSIBILITY. Our programs and activities are designed for our participants to learn there are no limitations. Campers can shoot a bow at the archery course, zip-line through the trees, enjoy a pool party, catch a catfish & more! We offer many of the same activities as most traditional summer camps.

Safety

Safety of our campers and staff is our top priority. Our campus is gated, and visitors must register with the office. Our counselors and volunteers go through a comprehensive training prior to the start of camp, so they are prepared for any emergency situations. There are always licensed nurses on campus to help administer medications and provide any medical assistance. You can rest assured your camper is in good hands at Camp Aldersgate.

Because here a kid can be a kid. Camp Aldersgate has been trusted by parents for many decades as a safe place for their children. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and are the only camp in Arkansas with this accreditation serving children with special needs. Campers who come to Camp Aldersgate are able to grow and achieve a sense of independence while building friendships and making memories. There is truly no place like Camp Aldersgate.
