Camp Aldersgate’s 42nd Annual Fish Fry
Another Record-Breaking Year!
On a bright and beautiful fall Sunday, Camp Aldersgate once again welcomed the community for our 42nd Annual Fish Fry! Held on October 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event brought together families, friends, and supporters for a day full of food, fun, and community spirit.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, ticket holders, and community, this year’s Fish Fry raised over $132,000 — marking another record-breaking year! Every dollar raised helps Camp Aldersgate continue its mission of creating life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs.
A Beloved Tradition
Guests enjoyed the classic Fish Fry menu — crispy fried catfish served with french fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw — all prepared with love by our dedicated volunteers. Those who preferred to take their meal to go made great use of our convenient drive-thru option, ensuring that everyone could enjoy a taste of this cherished tradition.
Throughout the afternoon, laughter and conversation filled the air as guests explored Camp Aldersgate’s beautiful 100+ acre campus and reconnected with the spirit of community that makes this event so special.
Fun, Family, and Community
From exciting family-friendly activities to good old-fashioned fellowship, the day offered something for everyone. Children and adults alike enjoyed games, crafts, and the chance to make new memories with old friends. Highlights included the ever-popular Fishing Derby, where young anglers competed for prizes and proudly reeled in their catches. For many, it was their first-ever fish caught — a milestone that perfectly embodies the joy and inclusion at the heart of Camp Aldersgate.
