Camp Aldersgate Welcomes Two New Team Members

We’re growing our team! Join us in celebrating two new members who bring passion, expertise, and heart to Camp Aldersgate.

Camp Aldersgate is excited to announce the addition of two new hires to the team. With the hiring of these positions, Aldersgate development team is complete with a total of three staff members, including Senior Development Officer, Ryan Miller and Development Officer, Gabrielle Confer.

Leanna Wall joins Aldersgate as Director of Development. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in relationship cultivation and successful campaigns. As Director of Development, Wall will foster community relations; help execute fundraising events and create strategies to secure funding. Wall says she is eager to use our mission to push the organization forward.

“As a lifelong Methodist and graduate of Hendrix College, I’d always heard about Camp Aldersgate. It was not until my friend and former colleague, Sonya Murphy, invited me out for a tour that I fell in love with the mission and the camp’s history. I am proud of and grateful for the foresight of the United Methodist Women. I’m honored to work for a place that breaks down barriers so that all have access to the benefits of camp. I’ve learned so much about therapeutic recreation and how impactful it is for children with disabilities. I look forward to propelling the organization forward.”

Andi Garner joins the organization as Registrar. In her role she will be responsible for coordination of paperwork and administrative tasks for the year-round programs, organizing the pre-camp paperwork, and is responsible for the intake, screening, and management of camper information with a focus on family engagement.

Garner is passionate about making a positive difference at Camp Aldersgate. “I care about creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves. What I love about Camp Aldersgate is that campers are seen for who they are, not by any limitations. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that focuses on inclusion, connection, and building confidence. I’m proud to contribute to a place that brings so much joy and meaning to the lives of others.” She said.

Camp Aldersgate is thrilled to welcome Leanna and Andi to the team. Their passion and expertise will help continue our mission of creating life-changing experiences for individuals with special needs and medical diagnoses.
