A Whopping Success…The Biggest Fish Fry Yet!

Drumroll, please! We are excited to announce that with your incredible support, our 40th Annual Fish Fry event was the biggest and most successful yet! Thanks to our sponsors, donors, event committee and community, we raised over $104,500!

The 40th annual Fish Fry was held at Camp Aldersgate on Sunday, October 29th, from 11:30am-3:30pm. The weather may have been dreary, but that did not hold back our loyal supporters from coming out to enjoy their catfish and the festivities. Families and friends were able to gather in cozy covered seating areas while they enjoyed their fried fish, french fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw. For those who wanted to grab a meal to-go, a convenient drive-thru option was available as well.

Upon arrival, families were encouraged to start their Fish Fry journey at the activity check-in table. Participants received an activity bag with a check list of adventures to complete. Once seven out of nine items were checked off, children received a stuffed animal to “adopt” and take home. Activities included a bird feeder project with a park ranger, fishing derby, petting zoo, disc golf, touch a truck, carousel rides, face painting, crafts and a guided art experience inside one of the cabins!

Of course, we could not put on this event without the help of our volunteers. Thank you to the 130 volunteers across 12 different organizations who dedicated their time to Fish Fry this year!
